It is with gratitude unbounded that I acknowledge the benefits received from the study and application of Christian Science. During the past twenty years Christian Science has been my only physician. I am grateful for the physical healings I have received, but I am more grateful for the exaltation of thought and the wonderful understanding it brings of the omnipresence of God.
I first took up Christian Science for the healing of grief, after a near relative had passed on. As the healing of this sorrow was brought about, my health became very much improved. It was, however, in the fall of 1918 that I first put Christian Science to a real test, and I was healed of influenza, during the epidemic. The healing took place in about ten days' time, through the work of a loving practitioner, and there were no aftereffects from the malady. I am very grateful for this experience, because it established me firmly in the truth, and since then I have never had any doubt as to the healing efficacy of Christian Science when properly applied.
I have had many other healings in Christian Science. During the depression of the last few years, though I was displaced from my regular line of work, I have been given strength and courage to serve in other ways, I have been able to prove that God's supply is infinite, and to see that when we are doing Christian Science work we are never unemployed.
