Education
[Written Especially for Young People]
The opportunity to engage in systematic study at colleges and universities in preparation for the professions and for a fuller life is one of the great blessings of our modern age. This education, however, should not be merely the collecting and cataloguing of facts, the mastering of technical skill, and learning how to appreciate beauty. It should also include the formation of character, through education in spiritual values.
To students, as well as to those in every other walk of life, Christian Science is a practical and indispensable guide; and they have found the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly to be a most valuable instructor.
In our schools many subjects are studied and many abilities improved, but of most importance is the knowledge of how to think rightly. Without right thinking, unlimited possessions would be useless. By thought, progress is determined.
