Several years ago Christian Science was brought to our home by a friend and accepted by my mother as the truth. At that time I was in my teens, enjoying good health, and was content to consult a doctor if it seemed necessary.

Over three years ago I was taken very ill and ordered into hospital by my doctor. I was suffering from a severe nervous breakdown and lung trouble. An X-ray photograph confirmed the latter diagnosis. After spending a fortnight in hospital and four months in bed at home, I was told by the doctor that he could do no more for me. As I had always been active in outdoor sports, this was a great blow to me, and I now listened to my mother's entreaties and agreed to have Christian Science treatment.

There was a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy in the house. I commenced reading this wonderful book, and a practitioner was asked to visit me and to give me treatment. A few days after treatment was commenced, I was able to get about freely, and within a fortnight I was well and able to return to my occupation. Several weeks later I was taken ill during the night. As I did not understand enough of the truth to help myself, the practitioner was again called and came to me at once. When he arrived I was shaking so severely that my bed moved on the floor. Within five minutes of the practitioner's entering my bedroom I was completely healed, and went to work as usual next morning. Both of these healings have been permanent, and I again enjoy taking part in strenuous sports. After these experiences I turned wholeheartedly to Christian Science.
