, in the midst of happy experiences, one is troubled by suggestions that such happiness cannot last; and many people feel that an especially joyful time is sure to be followed by correspondingly unhappy or painful moments, even though the former was right and harmless.

A contributor to the "Register Clearning House," in a recent issue, presented well some of the patriotic objectives of the educational system of our country when he said, "The public schools, without interfering with 'religious beliefs,' are secular schools, established for the purpose of educating the children of American citizens in the duties, privileges, responsibilities, and loyalties of their national heritage.
We rejoice at the news of progress and growth that comes to us through the letters we receive from other college organizations in this country and in England.

Several years ago Christian Science was brought to our home by a friend and accepted by my mother as the truth.
As we travel along the highway of life, may we pause sometimes to praise God for His wonderful works toward men! It was at a time of great need that I paused to wait for divine Love to point the way.
It is with the earnest desire to help those who are students of Christian Science, but who live far from a Christian Science church, that I offer this testimony.
Early in 1936 I had my first proof of the healing power of Christian Science.
I wish to extend my thanks for Christian Science and to its many followers throughout the world.

When I compare my physical condition of suffering and general discord of many years ago with my present consciousness of harmony and well-being, brought about by Christian Science after I gave up trying to gain health through the help of materia medica, I realize the deep gratitude I owe to this Science.
