Opportunity

Opportunity is as perennial as the sunshine; and in the light of this happy fact every situation, whatever its nature, is an opportunity to prove the ever-presence and goodness of God, reveal the graciousness of divine healing, and lift human consciousness into the realm of present and perfect harmony.

To the Christian Scientist every waking moment is one of glorious opportunity to know his inseparable at-one-ment with the one Mind, and, in reality, his present and eternal unity with the ideas which infinite Mind constantly imparts to man. In the divine order of pure and perfect being there is and can be no lack of health and strength, of joy and freedom, of abundant and unfailing protection and supply.

Safety is a condition in which the real man abides, and it is always available for our instant and complete protection, whatever the human need may seem to be. Our opportunity is always to be conscious of the positive reality of safety, as a condition expressive of the ever-operative law and order of divine Love. Then the opposite and negative beliefs of risk and danger can have no place in our thought, and hence no manifestation in our experience. When thus conscious of the truth, we find that we are safe with God; for where He is—and He is everywhere—there is no possibility of harm or accident, distress or discomfort of any kind.
