With profound gratitude I wish to add my testimony of the efficacy of Christian Science.

My first healing was one of unemployment. I had gone to a large midwest city to seek employment, against the advice of my friends. Although there seemed to be many thousands out of work in this city, I felt strangely impelled to go there. Having nothing else to do, and finding myself amid a crowd on a principal street, I went with this crowd into a building, and up to a large auditorium, where I heard about Christian Science. My heart wells up in gratitude for the light that gleamed for me that day.

Going from there to a Christian Science Reading Room, I borrowed a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. Each day before going downtown to look for a position, I would read for about a half hour from this borrowed book. After a few days' reading I seemed to hear a voice saying, "I go about my Father's business." With joyous gratitude I went downtown that same morning, alone, and without even a city reference, and procured a wonderful position.
