Spiritual Understanding

All true progress is the result of enlightenment, supplanting ignorance and superstition. What a mighty stimulus has been given to this century through the enlightened understanding of Mary Baker Eddy, who perceived the perfection of man and the universe, thus enabling us to remove the fetters imposed by belief in life apart from God—in other words—the dream of corporeality! Those who are in some measure discerning the perfect spiritual nature of man and the universe are indeed rejoicing in Truth's sunshine, for they know they cannot be deceived by the illusions this dream presents.

"Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein," is one of the most noteworthy statements of our dear Master. Such a state of humility helps to give us true vision, and liberates us from the thralldom of false belief and the load imposed by material sense.

Jesus taught that "the kingdom of God is within you." The study of Christian Science reveals this kingdom of God, and shows us how to make it practical in everyday affairs. The understanding of it destroys sickness and enables one to overcome, step by step, everything unlike good. Spiritual understanding illumines human consciousness with the divine glory.
