I should like to give my testimony in regard to my son's healing, which took place in 1921. Three specialists, whom I had consulted about the child, told me I should never raise him to manhood. The last one told me if I would get him away from the cold winter climate to where he could play out in the fresh air, he might live another year. He was then four and one half years old, considered to be undernourished, and not a normal child in weight, size, or health.

The verdict of the last specialist made us start packing, and we were en route to Miami, Florida, five days before Thanksgiving Day. Just before we started, a dear friend presented me with a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and asked me to put it into my bag, for I might like to read it on the train.

On the way the child was sleepless and fretful for several nights, and did not sleep till the last day. He had to be held in my arms all the time. Because of great weariness myself, I obtained a pillow, so that I could lay him down on the seat in front of me. The passengers going by to the observation car remarked to each other that the child could not last much longer.
