When in Panama, in 1912, I found the blessed truth, Christian Science. For twelve years I had suffered from severe bowel trouble and piles, supposed to be inherited; also from throat and ear trouble. One day while I was talking to a friend who is a student of Christian Science, she asked me if I had ever read Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I replied that I had never seen the book, but that I should like to read it. She lent me her copy, and at the end of one week I found myself healed of all these difficulties; also of my false concept of theology, which to me meant more than the physical healing, as I had thought a great deal "on these things."

From that day I began to apply what I understood of Christian Science, and since then it has been my only help. Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for the many blessings which have come to me and mine through the application of this Science as taught and demonstrated by our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy. My desire is to be worthy of the name "Christian Scientist"; and daily I am striving to go higher in spiritual understanding.—(Mrs.) Emeline S. Whitworth, West Los Angeles, California.
