For many years the testimonies in The Christian Science Journal...

For many years the testimonies in The Christian Science Journal and the Sentinel have been a source of deep comfort and inspiration to me, and it would seem ungrateful to withhold my own. I have had the great privilege and blessing of being reared in the knowledge of Christian Science. Throughout my childhood I attended the Sunday school, and the understanding I gained has been a rock of strength to me ever since. I have no words to express my gratitude for our Sunday schools.

It always is very uplifting to me to hear the frequently spoken words, "Christian Science has never failed me." This has been my experience. The greater my need has been, the closer divine Love has seemed, until I can look back and see that every testing time, every period of seeming trial, has held nothing but blessings, manifested in increased understanding, strength, and confidence. It has taken time and patience for me to learn to be sincerely grateful for trials, and to see them as "proofs of God's care" (Science and Health, p. 66), but with the understanding of this truth I can now see an opportunity where at one time I would have seen only a calamity.

I am deeply grateful for conspicuous and outstanding healings which have been witnessed and experienced by our family. But I am most grateful for the freedom from fear, worry, sickness, and doubt which the consciousness of God's loving care and protection has brought. One seems at times to be burdened with small ailments, sorrows, and discords, and it is wonderful to see them disappear through the help of Christian Science, and to prove that health, happiness, and well-being are the gifts of God to His children.
