I want to take the opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude for Christian Science. I have often expressed it audibly at the Wednesday evening testimony meetings, but now I should like to express it through our periodicals.

At an early age I became a seeker for Truth, going for a while to one orthodox church and then to another, but I could not seem to find that for which I was looking. Finally, I gave up the search, and thought in my heart, There is no God. Later, when I was told in a time of trouble, sickness, sorrow, and the passing of loved ones, that it was all God's will, I was filled with bitterness, and thought, If that is God's will, I do not want that kind of God. I will do without Him.

But following my own human will only made the way grow darker and darker. Then came absolute collapse, and I cried out for the only living God. He was revealed to me through the coming into my home of a little book, the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy.
