From Letters, Substantially as Published

May I add a "word in season" to the reply made by "Perplex," in a recent issue, to my letter on the subject of Christian Science.

The works to which I referred are works of healing, that is to say, the practical manifestations of the ever-operative, divine, healing Principle or Love, to which Christian Science bears witness. This country, as well as others, is liberally sprinkled with men, women, and children who have been healed, and in many cases brought back from the brink of the grave, through the ministrations of Christian Science.

There is no getting away from the fact that Christian Science is a reinstatement of "primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing" (Church Manual by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 17), and that many churches are beginning to recognize this fact and take up the challenge it involves.
