Christian Science has brought and is bringing not only...
Christian Science has brought and is bringing not only spiritual satisfaction, but health, healing, peace, and joy to me and to my family.
Because of many discords experienced in our family when I was about eight years of age, I began looking to God for respite or release. Years later my father was healed of blindness in one treatment given by a Christian Science practitioner, and my mother was healed of eczema. They had both suffered for twelve years and had tried many physicians. They were so grateful and happy that they wanted everyone to share their blessings. Several years later I received a glimpse of this great truth, although I was not seeking any particular healing of any physical disease, but I accepted it as a religion.
When I started to study Christian Science I had two chronic ills which I had had all my life—constipation and catarrh. Through the daily reading of the Lesson-Sermons as given in the Christian Science Quarterly, these troubles left me, without any specific work being done for them. In fact, I did not realize that I had been healed of the first trouble until six months later, nor of the catarrh until over two years later, when I heard a testimony of a similar healing in church.
