All's Well!

Dear child, dream not of far-off joy and peace,
Nor vainly bow the knee the while you pray
That in some distant age world strife may cease—
You can be happy in God's love today.

All tenderly God guides His children dear,
So lean on Him, let Him direct your way;
Forget the past, cast off the chains of fear—
Trust God, dear child, and thank Him for today.

You need not dread the steepness of the road,
You will tramp down the thorns along the way,
Stretch out a hand to ease another's load—
You can be kind in thought and deed today.

Love overarches all; you dwell secure.
Your God provideth for tomorrow's need.
The mists of earth veil not His guidance sure—
The cloud by day, the flame by night still lead.

Above the fog, above earth's phantom fear,
Sweet angel-messengers all good foretell;
God's at the helm—His Christ is ever near—
Stand fast, dear child, and know all's well, all's well.
