It is a constant astonishment to see how many people still think that prayer is a way of getting God to do what they want done. The very putting of the matter so ought to reveal the fallacy. From being a way of getting God to do what we want done, prayer is a way of putting our lives into such relationship with God that He can do in, and for, and through us what He wants done.
