For some time I have had a desire to testify to the healing power of Christian Science. I do so with a sincere desire that it may be of help to someone seeking the way out of the sorrows and disappointments that come to us through a belief in man as material instead of spiritual.

Christian Science came to us at a time when all material means had seemed to fail; and even my faith in prayer was somewhat shaken. At this time a neighbor, who is a Christian Scientist, gave me some thoughts on prayer which lifted me above a great sense of despair.

Soon after this I took up the study of Christian Science. The first physical healing I experienced was the laying off of glasses which I was wearing to correct one of the worst forms of astigmatism. Two weeks after taking up the study of Science, I was able to read fine print with ease, and I have not worn glasses since that time, which was ten years ago.
