The station announcer said: Good afternoon, Ladies and Gentlemen: It is Columbia's pleasure to present another program in the sixth consecutive year of the "Church of the Air" series. The service today is coming to you from Station WABC, New York City, and is approved by The Christian Science Board of Directors of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. The broadcast is conducted by B. Palmer Lewis, Christian Science Committee on Publication for the State of New York. The subject of Mr. Lewis' address is, "The Compassionate, Saving Mission of Christian Science." Josephine Antoine is the soloist, and she will be assisted by the string trio under the direction of Michael de Stefano. We now give the service into the hands of Mr. Lewis.

Mr. Lewis opened the program by reading from the Bible the parable of the Good Samaritan, Luke 10:25–37, and from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy: 117: 15–19; 366:30–9; 467:3–16; 469:25–5; 518:15–19; 340: 15 only, 23–29.

Hymn 182 from the Christian Science Hymnal was sung.
