Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication

Rhodesia.

I am happy to record that the first request in Southern Rhodesia for a talk on Christian Science by a body of non-Christian Scientists was made recently by Toc H in Salisbury. Permission has been obtained from The Christian Science Board of Directors of The Mother Church to deliver an address, and the date will be arranged towards the end of the present year. This is a most progressive step and is indicative of the growing desire for understanding between men, and the sweeping away of intolerance and prejudice.

From Salisbury also comes the good news that an Anglican minister has expressed himself as being "grateful to Christian Science for what it is doing for the world." A Methodist minister is reading Science and Health, and has made kindly reference to it. A Baptist minister, in referring in his sermon to Christian Science, said, "The churches need Christian Science." We are grateful for this growing recognition of the rightful place Christian Science occupies in the world.
