In his address, as reported in your issue of April 10, a bishop referred to Christian Science.
The bishop may not agree with the teachings of Christian Science as he understands them, but it is a fact beyond dispute that Christian Science is today healing the sick through spiritual means alone, and is so remarkably successful in this work that the bishop's own church is awakening to the fact that a long-neglected command of the Master to heal the sick must be obeyed. It seems sad at this moment, when the Primate of England has just issued a call for religious revial, to find the bishop disparaging the great and rapidly growing Church of Christ, Scientist, a church which in less than sixty years has established thousands of branches throughout the civilized world.
Christian Scientists are not faith-healers. Christian Science is a return to primitive Christianity, the Christianity which heals the sick through the understanding and application of the law and love of God.
