Like many others I was led to Christian Science for physical healing, and only after all hope in material means had been exhausted.

Even after having a complete healing of bronchial asthma, I used the teachings of Christian Science for ease in matter only, until I met with an accident, which left me crippled and unable to walk. It was then I learned the real value of the daily study of the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly. With the help of practitioners, and strict obedience to the light as it was revealed to me, I was healed of this condition. Again I had freedom of action.

As our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, tells us in Science and Health (p. 556), "Mortal mind must waken to spiritual life before it cares to solve the problem of being;" and she also says, "But when that awakening comes, existence will be on a new standpoint."

I am grateful for class instruction, as it has given me a better understanding of what our Leader has established, and for all the blessings which are revealed to us through the activities of Christian Science.
