Builders

In the Bible are records of builders of many kinds—builders of arks, gates, temples, walls, altars, strongholds—who expressed in their work their concept of God, and their need of His help and protection.

In Genesis we read of Noah, "a just man and perfect," who was divinely guided to build an ark in which he and his family were to be saved from the flood which was to destroy the corruption of their day.

We find Abraham building an altar on which to sacrifice his only son, as a proof of his love for God and willingness to be obedient. "The angel of the Lord" corrected his false sense of sacrifice; while his obedience was blessed.
