I did not take up the study of Christian Science for healing, although I needed it. Someone had told me that the Christian Science God was a God of love. I wanted to sent our little daughter to Sunday school, but was not satisfied with what I had gained from my former church. It was decided to sent the child to the Christian Science Sunday School—a very happy decision, for which I am very grateful. Our son and our daughter have never gone to any other Sunday school. Some years later I took up the study of Science in earnest and found it met my every need.
Christian Science does heal, and this we have often proved. Children's diseases have been quickly overcome, sometimes through our own understanding, at other times with the help of practitioners.
God, Mind, is our source of supply, and this we have demonstrated many times. When it was time to send our daughter to college, mortal mind said that it could not be done. But I held to the truth, that Mind supplies all its ideas; that whether her human father and mother had made their financial demonstration or not, the daughter could be denied no good thing; and if it was right for her to go to college, she would. She went. Our material income did not increase one penny, and our obligations did, but Love is all-sufficient. Every demand for books, board, and other incidentals common to college life has been met. To say I am grateful is expressing it very mildly.
