The letter headed "Man Debasing Evolution" is rather ambiguous. The mention of "Eddyyism" is misleading.

Christian Science is no mere theory or barren doctrine. Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, through her study of the Bible, recognized that early Christianity, with its element of healing, did not belong to a dispensation now ended. She gained the conviction that these works were in accordance with God's law, which knows no limitation of time or space. Her discovery has placed mankind in possession of a Christianity of works, including healing.
