I came to Christian Science for physical healing

I came to Christian Science for physical healing. One of my first healings was of the so-called law of heredity. During the second Christian Science treatment which I received, I was healed of a diseased stomach and many attending ills. I had been subject to these conditions from my earliest recollection, and was told by physicians that they were inherited. Although treated by many regular physicians, also specialists, I continued to grow worse. Great freedom came to me when, in reading the eighteenth chapter of Ezekiel, I learned that false beliefs—namely, sin and disease—cannot proceed from father to son.

A very severe nervous condition, often accompanied by semiconsciousness, followed by severe pain and exhaustion, was healed after many false traits of disposition were uncovered and destroyed by the truth about God, and man as His image and likeness. As Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health (p. 201): "We cannot fill vessels already full. They must first be emptied."

During the period of economic depression through which it would seem the whole world has been passing, I have been able to keep my head above the waves of error, although those dear to me were influenced by it. This is due to the fact that I proved many times that God is the source of supply. The words from the twenty-fourth Psalm, "The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof," have sustained me many times when my supply seemed to run low.
