Through the study of Christian Science I have found God. This teaching is so helpful in the bringing up of children. My children have been attending the Christian Science Sunday School for about four years. It is gratifying to find how much they have learned. They are not afraid, and can take care of themselves in times of trouble.

We have had many beautiful healings, most of them instantaneous. One of the children was healed of appendicitis in two treatments. One little boy was healed of blood poisoning in one treatment. I have had a painless childbirth, and was up the second day.

One outstanding healing I had was a great revelation to me. I had learned some of the beautiful truths in Science, and knew them to be true, but I had to prove them. In the Bible we read concerning man, "As he thinketh in his heart, so is he." I had suffered about four months with a severe cold, and could not seem to overcome it. I very unwisely put off having the help of a practitioner. Finally, my lungs became very painful, and I could feel the weight of them. At night they would be so inflamed I could not sleep. I had to recline sitting halfway up in bed, as my breathing was very difficult. I then called upon a practitioner, and she very lovingly helped me to rid myself of fear. During that time it seemed as if my lungs were completely destroyed, and I could not breathe at all. But with the help of the practitioner I began to improve gradually. I found that as my wrong thinking was changed and purified, the healing took place. This taught me a great deal. The beautiful part of this Christian Science healing was that I was able to continue to care for the needs of my family and to go to church even when it did not seem possible, for we read in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (p. 385), "Whatever it is your duty to do, you can do without harm to yourself." This was indeed very inspiring.
