The station announcer said: Good afternoon, Ladies and Gentlemen: It is Columbia's pleasure to present another program in the fifth consecutive year of the "Church of the Air" series. The service today is given under the auspices of the Christian Science Committee on Publication for the District of Columbia with the approval of The Christian Science Board of Directors of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, and is coming to you from Station WJSV in Washington. The broadcast is conducted by Erwin D. Canham, Washington correspondent of The Christian Science Monitor. The subject of Mr. Canham's address is "Christian Science: A Rule for Daily Living." The soloist, Floyd Jennings, is assisted by Byron Blodgett at the organ. We now give the service into the hands of Mr. Canham.

Hymn 46 from the Christian Science Hymnal was sung.

Mr. Canham then read an address substantially as follows: The world today seems to be suffering from many and complex difficulties. Yet for each individual the solution is simple. It is to live his own life in accordance with these two commands: first, "Thou shall have no other gods before me," and, second, "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."
