Eyes on the Goal!

[Written Especially for Young People]

"Eyes on the goal!" How often our everyday pursuits and the games we play give us adequate opportunity to apply certain rules of divine Principle!

Some children were enjoying a game of hopscotch on the firmly packed sand of a beach. A girl of about twelve tossed her stone time and again, seldom hitting her mark; then as she tried to hop on one foot from square to square she invariably got no farther than two squares when she disqualified herself either by putting down the other foot or by falling on the sand. Keenly chagrined at her failure, she looked about beseechingly, and finally asked, "Can anyone tell me why I can't hit the goal, or hop?"

A girl who had been studying the procedure each time volunteered, "If you really want to know, I'll tell you." The player listened eagerly.
