A clergyman is reported to have said that "the rationalism of this century has much to answer for. It has filled the minds of many people with suspicion and doubt with reference to the church and the Bible. It has sent them out into the wilderness of unbelief. We see men turning aside from the church of Christ and his gospel and taking up Christian Science, etc." As the inference to be drawn from these remarks is misleading, the following correction is submitted.

The Church of Christ, Scientist, is "a church designed to commemorate the word and works of our Master, which should reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing" (Church Manual, p. 17).
