Through an acquaintance I heard about Christian Science, and I read "Rudimental Divine Science" and "No and Yes" by Mary Baker Eddy, in which I became more and more interested and absorbed. A short time later I had a healing through Christian Science, about which I should like to give particulars.

An inflammation of the bone, which was accompanied by chills and subsequent high fever, kept me in bed. My brother wanted to call a doctor and take me to a hospital, but I asked him to send for a Christian Science practitioner. He acted in accordance with my wish, and through God's goodness improvement began immediately. I slept the following night, and the next day I was well again and able to take up my housework. I told our family doctor about my illness, and since, according to his account, the periosteum had been irritated by injury, he marveled at such rapid, auspicious progress.
