During the years in which I have been a student of Christian Science I have seen wonderful proofs of the power of God to heal sickness and sin.

A member of my family who for four months had been ill with shingles and was in a state of coma had an instantaneous healing. He was also healed of eczema and erysipelas in their worst forms. On page 412 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mrs. Eddy has so inspiringly written these words: "The power of Christian Science and divine Love is omnipotent. It is indeed adequate to unclasp the hold and to destroy disease, sin, and death."

It is with joy that I give to the Field the following demonstrations which I personally have experienced by relying wholly upon this truth. One night several years ago I felt impelled to read in Science and Health, so I read until two o'clock in the morning. I then retired in a most peaceful and calm state of thought. At four o'clock I awoke and seemed to be passing on. I could not move an atom of my body, and seemed to be encased in ice. Depth of gratitude unspeakable filled my consciousness that I could at least think. After four hours of unwavering work to know the truth I arose and attended to my household duties.
