No Barrier to Progress
To those who are burdened with a sense of lack of education the following words of our inspired Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, are filled with hope and power. On page 256 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" she writes: "Progress takes off human shackles. The finite must yield to the infinite. Advancing to a higher plane of action, thought rises from the material sense to the spiritual, from the scholastic to the inspirational, and from the mortal to the immortal."
These trumpet tones, breaking the mesmerism of wrong thinking, have awakened many who had felt the effect of deterring material beliefs to the realization that true destiny is progressive, and that so-called material laws are but the beliefs growing out of a false material sense of life. When Life is spiritually understood, these errors can constitute no barrier to progress.
There is rich reward for the student who can drink deeply of Mrs. Eddy's words, established on the Truth that man reflects in entirety the attributes of God, infinite Mind. He who is hampered by the belief that because of lack of advanced schooling he cannot progress rapidly, or expect to rise, as can those more fortunate individuals who have received higher education and its abundant opportunities, has not grasped the meaning of spiritual progress. Inasmuch as there is only one Mind, there is only one source of intelligence, and that fountain is available to all. It is forever flowing.
