[Original testimony in German]

In 1923 I was led to Christian Science at a time when I was having a hard fight with grievous cares. I shall never forget the first Wednesday evening testimony meeting which I attended. The reading began with the words, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden."
These words took on an entirely different meaning for me, and I felt that I had found God, whom I had long been seeking. Since then I have had occasion to experience many healings and blessings.
By realizing God's omnipotence I was healed almost instantaneously of the effects of scalding my left hand, and was able to go on with my washing unhindered. Further, I was healed of stiffness in my arm, in spite of the fact that the doctor had told me, after eleven weeks' treatment, that the arm would never be useful again. I knew that in Truth I was God's perfect child, and only a few weeks after giving up medical treatment I was able to take up a new occupation. With a grateful heart I rejoice to be able to report two other healings. One morning, over four years ago, I had a hemorrhage, which came repeatedly that day and often again. Without my knowledge a doctor was called, who diagnosed the trouble as cancer of the stomach, and told my relatives that the condition was incurable. On the third day I felt something stir in me which spurred me on to stronger adherence to Truth. I affirmed that none of the functions of God's child can be interfered with, since God is Truth, Life, and Love. I promised to endeavor to consecrate my thinking, my whole life, to God in humble obedience. The shadows of death, the stiffness of my limbs, and the chills vanished. I could think more clearly in spite of a previous high fever. The doctor had said that I could not live two weeks. Today I can gratefully say: Father, I know "that thou hast heard me." I am well and strong and can eat any kind of food, and consider myself one of the happiest of women.
