I cannot begin to express in words the gratitude I owe to Mary Baker Eddy for Christian Science. Through the application of her teachings as stated in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," a Christian Science practitioner in the West Indies helped to cure me once and for all of epileptic fits, some sixteen years ago. The fits had recurred from time to time for over four years, following a surgical operation for head injury; and the medicine taken under doctors' orders could not stop them, and actually made me more and more nervous.

From the first treatment in Christian Science the fits were completely eradicated, and for this alone, gratitude wells up in my heart continually. But it is with an even deeper sense of thanks that I know how much I am in debt to all the loving practitioners of Christian Science who have come across my path in their work.
