The Bible relates numerous instances where sin and disease were healed by the Master and by the apostles, as well as by the early prophets. You recall that the Gospel according to Matthew relates that Christ Jesus healed "all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people;" and that he said, "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father."

Christ Jesus understood God and the real man made in His image and likeness; and with this spiritual understanding he corrected the false views of those who sought his help, destroying sin, sickness, financial lack, and other discordant conditions.

The questions may be asked: But how do you account for sickness, and evil conditions? Where did they come from? And how are we to free ourselves from them? These may well be answered by the inquiries: Where does a mistake in arithmetic come from? Is it the outgrowth of a correct rule and the elementary propositions of mathematics? Is it not rather the result of the failure of the student to apply exact rules and fundamental truths? In other words, is not the mistake an effect that comes from the ignorance, fear, thoughtlessness, or misconceptions of a mortal?
