It is with a deep sense of gratitude that I testify to the healing power of Christian Science. For eleven years this Science has been my only physician.

One of my first blessings was the healing overnight of a sprained foot. I hardly realized it was healed until the following day when I got into a car and rode for some distance, and spent the day shopping. My next healing, of tonsillitis, came the following winter. I thought I was very ill and said to my husband, "Let us read over the Lesson-Sermon from the Christian Science Quarterly, and then I will go to bed." But after reading the Lesson I did not go to bed, for I found that I was healed. This was about nine years ago, and I have had no return of tonsillitis.

About seventeen years ago I was X-rayed because of stomach trouble, and was told that I should undergo an operation at once for the removal of ulcers and adhesions, but I decided against the operation. I had had one and did not want another. I suffered for about five years, continually growing worse, and finally I went to another specialist who, after taking X rays, informed me that I had cancer of the stomach. He thought he could help me with X-ray and radium treatment, but did not say he could cure me. However, I continued to grow worse.

I had an uncle and a cousin, as well as several friends, who had studied Christian Science. At last I went to a practitioner, who kindly took up the work for me. I seemed to get no better, but I know now that the regeneration was taking place as I came to know more about God. During this time I became a member of The Mother Church and a Christian Science Society, and at last I received my healing. This was over six years ago. I now eat anything I wish, with no ill effects.

These, with other blessings, have been a great help to me, but they are small compared to the spiritual uplifting I have experienced. I hope to make this truth daily more practical as I journey Spiritward. For the understanding of the Bible which we receive through the study of our dear Leader's writings, and for the lectures and periodicals I am very grateful. And not least of all do I thank God for all good, "for in him we live, and move, and have our being." It is my sincere desire to live the life of a true Christian Scientist.
