Many pages could be written on what Christian Science has done for me. I am more grateful than I can say for the great privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School, to which I have been going for over nine years. The lessons which we learn in Sunday school help us to overcome any difficulty that presents itself to us. I am also grateful for the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, and the way in which we are enabled to get a clearer understanding of the truth through the Sunday school teaching.
I have had several healings through the application of my little understanding of the truth as taught in Christian Science. I have not spent one day in bed, and have been absent only two days from school and one day from my business, as far as I can remember. I should like to tell of the healing I had of a very badly hurt ankle. Going home from school for lunch one day, I fell and hurt one of my ankles. I managed to get home, but when I arrived the pain seemed so severe that I could not stand at all. My mother very lovingly helped me, and read to me from Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy. After lunch I managed to get back to school, and during the afternoon all the pain left and I was able to walk and run freely. This was on a Wednesday, and in the evening I was able to give my testimony at church.
For the church services and also for the great privilege I have of being a member of The Mother Church I am grateful. I cannot close this testimony without expressing gratitude for the periodicals and for that great international daily newspaper, The Christian Science Monitor, for it gives the best news, and is a paper which parents can give to their children to read, knowing that they will only benefit by it. I am deeply grateful to our beloved Leader for her consecrated work in giving Christian Science to the world, and to all loyal Christian Scientists.
