Eleven years ago I gave up the use of materia medica and have since relied entirely on Christian Science for healing. Many discordant conditions such as intermittent heart, tonsillitis, and many other ills have yielded quickly to the truth.

In January, 1932, at the age of six years, our son was stricken with a most alarming disease which was the result of an accumulative poison existing apparently since birth. He was affected to such an extent that for weeks he was unable to take nourishment and none of his organs seemed to function normally. He was in a stupor most of the time and his head was swollen and drawn noticeably to one side. Excessive sweats continued day and night over this period. During the entire experience, however, he would admit no discomfort, declaring each time he was asked, that he was all right. Although faithful work was done by a Christian Science practitioner for two weeks, conditions did not indicate any improvement and I became very fearful. We decided that it would be wise to have a Christian Science nurse relieve me in the care of the child. I then released him from my anxious thought, knowing that God was his Father-Mother and that the child was in His care. In a very short time the horrible dream was ended. Our son was well.

I shall never forget the great sense of peace and joy that pervaded our whole household. The very "windows of heaven" were opened, as promised in Malachi, and such a blessing poured out that there was not "room enough to receive it." This healing has been permanent and the boy has been healthier than ever before.
