For some time I have desired to voice my gratitude...
For some time I have desired to voice my gratitude through the Sentinel for the wonderful help I have received from the study and application of Christian Science. Thirteen years ago I had an instantaneous healing of a severe nervous breakdown. I had spent hundreds of pounds trying to get help for this discordant condition through material means. In one treatment from a Christian Science practitioner I was healed.
We have had many other healings in our home and many opportunities to prove that God creates and governs all. My husband was healed of smoking after finding pleasure in that habit for thirty-five years. I wish to testify that Christian Science is the Comforter and that it can do all it claims to be able to do in this respect. My daughters and I proved that there is no separation at the time of the passing on of a devoted husband and loving father.
My gratitude goes out to God and to Mary Baker Eddy for the teachings of Christian Science. To the loving practitioner who stood by us in our hour of need, and for the wonderful expressions of love received from Scientists and non-Scientists I am deeply grateful. I am also grateful for having had class instruction, as I am sure this helped me to know there is no separation. For membership in The Mother Church, also a branch church, I express gratitude. I shall continue to endeavor to be worthy of the name "Christian Scientist."—(Mrs.) Emily B. Whyte, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
