I am indeed grateful to God, and to Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, for the revelation of the truth she has given us through the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." This truth has brought and is continuing to bring many blessings into my daily experience.

Several years ago, through the study of Christian Science, I was healed of the smoking habit of long standing. This healing came to me while I was attending a lecture which was being given by a member of the Board of Lectureship of The Mother Church. As a matter of fact, I was using tobacco up until my very entrance into the auditorium in which the lecture was to be given, but I am grateful to say that I have not had a return of that false appetite since then, which proves that no matter how deeply embedded error may seem to be within us, it can be removed from our consciousness and be destroyed.
