God Is All

Help me to give today from out the store
That Thou hast given me; help me to soar
Above the sordid things that seem to claim my day;
Help me to be about Thy business sweet, to watch and pray;
Thy peace apparent in the morning hush, the robin's song,
Help me to keep within my heart the whole day long.

I have not much to give of earthly things—
But gratitude is in my heart, and sings, and sings.
Help me to give a word to one in need,
To smile on one whose smile is fled. Help me to lead
One who has strayed, back to the path of Love again;
Help me to help another see there is no pain.

While those around me need Thy message sweet,
Grant that I pass not by with swift, unswerving feet,
Hastening about the earthly problem that seems mine
And heeding not the call to do the thing divine;
May I still hold Thy hand when evening shadows fall,
And know that I have proved in some small way that
God is All.
