After enjoying many blessings through the study of Christian Science, I feel it is more than time to add my grateful testimony to the thousands already published.
Christian Science was first brought to my notice about eleven years ago, while I was staying in the home of a Christian Scientist. One day when I was seized with severe pain and that pain was banished in a few moments after I had consented to have treatment, I knew there must be something wonderful in this method of healing. Being very unhappy and discontented, as well as in need of physical healing, I determined to investigate this scientific religion. The textbook was lent to me, but I laid it aside after I had read and studied it for three weeks. Some three months later, when separated from my Science friends, I was suddenly stricken with a nervous breakdown. The seed of Truth planted in that three weeks of study was then to bear fruit, for I was healed in three days simply by remembering several passages I had read in the Bible and Science and Health. These two books were now illumined and I understood the meaning of the text from Isaiah, "The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light."
From that time I have studied earnestly to receive more of this light, and have had many healings, for which I am grateful; but I am even more grateful for the happy and contented life which I now enjoy, for the privilege of membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, and of being a humble worker in this great Cause.—(Miss) Constance Dulcie Roche, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
