I wish to express my sincere gratitude to God for Christian Science
I wish to express my sincere gratitude to God for Christian Science. My first healing was of a bad hernia and was accomplished in less than one week, through absent treatment by a practitioner whom I had not seen at that time. This occurred about fourteen years ago, and there has never been a return of the trouble. Three years later I was healed of a severe nervous breakdown. This healing was slower, but when, through the patient work of the practitioner, I was healed of hatred and resentment, the physical healing took place. If I never had another proof of God's love, this one healing alone would call for my lifelong gratitude.
Mere words can never tell how grateful I am for the opening of my eyes to the truth of being. I am grateful for our beloved Leader, who was so pure in heart that she could discover this Science of Christ and give it to the world in a form so simple that all may understand and demonstrate it. I am deeply grateful for the many blessings that have come to me through the study and practice of this beautiful religion; for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church; for having had the privilege of class instruction; for the lectures, the Christian Science Reading Rooms, the periodicals, and all of Mrs. Eddy's writings. I am deeply grateful for the practitioners who so willingly and lovingly respond whenever they are called upon for help.
(Mrs.) Carrie F. Bean, Judith Gap, Montana.
