Guideposts

[Written Especially for Young People]

One who travels by automobile across the country finds well-marked guideposts along the way. By faithfully following their directions a safe and happy journey brings the traveler to his destination.

As we journey in Christian Science from the material sense of things to the understanding of God and man, we find guideposts established for us which direct us to the highway of right thinking. Might we not call the Bible and the writings of our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, our guideposts, which carry dependable and definite directions to help us on our journey? Following these guides, we are certain to reach the point in our experience where God's perfection and manifestation become clearer to us and unfold in ever-increasing beauty and glory.

In school life, it is usually necessary to follow the course of study prescribed, and sometimes the pupil is tempted to delve seriously into material theories for guidance as to correct ideals about life. In so doing there may appear before him what seems to be a rough road to travel. Mrs. Eddy tells us in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 242), "There is but one way to heaven, harmony, and Christ in divine Science shows us this way."
