I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science and...
I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science and for what it has done for me. Nearly five years ago this wonderful truth was presented to me by a friend who sensed my apparently helpless condition, and I have since experienced many healings, including those of the tobacco habit, chronic constipation, hernia of over six years' standing, influenza through one absent treatment by a practitioner, bad temper, profanity, and lack of supply. Through the study of Christian Science I have learned of my relation to God and in a small measure how to demonstrate His unfailing law in the overcoming of difficulties. Christian Science has given me love in place of hate, harmony in place of discord, abundance in place of lack, confidence in place of fear, and has taught me how to love my neighbor as myself.
I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, and for the privileges which I enjoy from such membership; also for our daily newspaper, The Christian Science Monitor. It is the only newspaper I read, and the reading of it has broadened my vision and is teaching me to think internationally. I am also grateful for the Christian Science Sunday Schools, where the children receive such valuable instruction. To our beloved Leader and to our consecrated practitioners, words fail to express my gratitude.—Harold A. Dundas, Hollywood, California.
