In
the third chapter of the book of Acts, there is a well-known story regarding the visit of Peter and John to the temple, at the hour of prayer, where they found "at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful" a lame man asking alms of those who entered into the temple.
From
out the corner, when the fire is low,Come all the woes and cares I used to know,To pass in still array before my eyes,The little heartaches, all the tears and sighs.
Mrs. Dorothy Hoskyn, former Committee on Publication for the South Island, New Zealand,
Will you kindly grant me space to reply to the letter of your correspondent "Rationalist" in a recent issue regarding the report of a lecture on Christian Science.
This column has already noted the Christian Science exhibits at A Century of Progress Exposition, which closed on November 1, 1934, after a fruitful season.
Churches and societies will please note particularly the changes made in the following notice, in regard to the time when lecture notices should reach this department.
I feel that it is high time to express my gratitude through the channels provided by our dear Leader for at least a part of the blessings I have received through the study and application of Christian Science, and through the help of practitioners.
Many years ago, owing to a mistaken diagnosis and the consequent sudden death of a beloved sister, I fell into a state of depression and resentment of which I was healed only after hearing about Christian Science eight years later.
I wish to express my gratitude for the many blessings I have received since taking up the study of Christian Science, which was presented to me in 1905.
