Topic: Concerning Fellowship

[Frank Trew, in the Morning Sun, Yuma, Arizonal]

The Scriptures tell us that the greatest virtue is charity, but "charity" is the most misunderstood and abused word in the English language unless it be "liberty."

Charity, in its obviously intended meaning, is the fullest expression of human beneficence. It describes the most Christian act that man can be capable of. But it is so debased by usage, so attached to professional alms-giving, that to use it, is to invite misunderstanding. There is a much better word that describes this meaning. It is "fellowship."
