Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication

By permission of The Christian Science Board of Directors I accepted invitations to speak on Christian Science to three small groups of non-Christian Scientists.

The Horsforth meeting, which was held in the Cragg Hill Baptist Church, was attended by about sixty men of all ages, and included some Christian Scientists. It was a virile meeting, some of the men showing a lively interest in the subject, and, although this interest was not altogether sympathetic, it was nevertheless wholesome.

The meeting at Bradford developed on quieter lines; yet one felt there was a keen interest. There were both men and women present, and also a class of boys. This meeting took place shortly after a series of correspondence on Christian Science in the Bradford press, and the chairman when closing the meeting said: "The address has cleared up many points of misunderstanding. There has been much controversy in the Bradford papers about Christian Science, but from what we have heard, we shall be able to do our part towards clearing up any misunderstanding that comes our way."
