Our God Is Love

Is there a brother man whose need
Is a loving word, a kindly deed?
Is there a friend who seems to fear
Oppression's yoke too hard to bear?
Is there someone who labors through
Beliefs of sickness, want, and woe,
Then help me, Father dear, to share
With those oppressed by so much care.
The love Thou hast bestowed on me
Is theirs to have abundantly.
Help me to point to them the way
That leads to the eternal day;
And in their turn, they too will find
Someone to whom they may be kind.
Thus all will learn of Thee above
Who art to all a God of love.
