Bromley Mercury

Your issue of the first instant contains the report of an address on "The Church and the Ministry of Healing" at St. John's Parish Hall. From the report it is evident that the principal speaker has heard of Christian Science only as a system of healing and knows very little of the subject. The teachings of Christian Science include the full salvation as taught and practiced by Christ Jesus not only from physical ills, limitation, fear, sin, and sorrow, but from ignorant and superstitious beliefs about God and His creation, the spiritual universe, including man.

Christian Science should not be confused with spiritualism. The Christian Science textbook contains a chapter entitled "Christian Science versus Spiritualism," which shows that they are entirely unlike.
