The Christ Way

I thank Thee, Lord, that Thou hast made
Thy world so bright,
So full of beauty, peace, and joy,
And radiant light;
So free from wrong, for all is good
In Thy pure sight.

I thank Thee, Lord, that though at times
The way seems hard,
With nameless fears, and loneliness,
And progress barred,
The master Christian leads the way,
Our guide and guard.

I thank Thee, Lord, that long ago
As Thine own Son
He came to earth and healing brought
To everyone
Who saw, by Jesus—Christ revealed—
And freedom won.

I thank Thee, Lord, that now again
In Thy dear name
The sick are healed, mankind redeemed,
Through Science that came
To prove the Christ is ever near,
Always the same.

I thank Thee, Lord, that when we all
Have borne the test,
Through seeking and obeying Christ,
We gain true rest
In that pure realm of perfect Mind
Where all are blest.
